This episode is the first in a mini-series about decarbonization.  It features Sid Amalean, Head of Sustainable Business at MAS Holdings. MAS is a Sri Lankan manufacturing company with over 100,000 employees and operating across 50 facilities in 15 countries.  The episode is co-hosted by Manufactured Co-Founder Jessie Li.

We talk about the company’s decision to sign-up for science-based targets, how they set their target, the challenges they’re facing in terms of achieving their target, and in general, what brands and retailers can do to support their suppliers with decarbonization targets. We also talk about how decarbonization really requires committing to a place, investing in a community.  Which of course begs the question: will my manufacturing business be around, in this place, in this format, in 15 years? Which leads us to one of our favorite topics: the importance of partnership – this time, for achieving decarbonization targets.
